What Jesus Said about love

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.    John 3:16

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one to another.   John 13:34

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.   1 John 4:16

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.  1 John 3:1

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

Summary

Jesus gave us a new commandment that we love one another. The Lord's brother James called this the 'royal law'. John the disciple that loved Jesus said behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed on us!
